Early on in his career, Dr. Nick learned that orthodontics is about much more than beautiful smiles. What truly makes his job hit home for him are the people behind those smiles. When you think of orthodontics, you may think about the end result, straightened teeth. But what Dr. Nick thinks about is building relationships with his patients throughout their orthodontic treatment.  He looks forward to not only getting to know them as individuals but providing the most comfortable orthodontic experience possible.

In addition to being a proud member of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the California Association of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Nick has studied several specialized topics, including how to straighten teeth with braces and Invisalign aligners.

As a firm believer in giving back to his community, Dr. Nick has volunteered his time to free dental clinics, such as the CDA Cares Free Dental Clinic for Californians - Solano, CDA Cares Free Dental Clinic for Californians - San Jose, CDA Cares Free Dental Clinic for Californians - Sacramento, and the Florida Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy. While both programs might be a little different, their goal is similar. Both events allow dentists to volunteer their time, providing free dental services to those who need it, including under-served and uninsured individuals.

When asked what Dr. Nick enjoys most about his job, he says, “Improving a person’s smile can significantly impact their confidence, self-esteem, and opportunities in life. Seeing that joy radiate from a smile I helped create is indescribable. Working with kids and adults and brightening their future is something I don’t think I’ll ever get used to, but one in which I’m incredibly proud.”

Education and Achievements

Dr. Nick began his career in orthodontics at the University of the Pacific (UOP) in Stockton, CA, earning a Bachelor of Sciences degree in the university’s pre-dentistry accelerated program. He then advanced to the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he earned his dental degree while serving as a Topics in Oral Biology tutor and study buddy, and worked as the coordinator for PASS, an application service created for dental students looking to apply to advanced dental programs. Dr. Nick moved to Florida, becoming a fellow at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. He graduated with his certification from Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics.

Throughout his education and work, Dr. Nick has learned that every patient needs their own individualized treatment plan. Dr. Nick is committed to the highest level of patient care, including a complete treatment approach to ensure quality work, each and every time.

Outside the Office

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Nick grew up with one younger sister and two older brothers. As an avid athlete, sports have always played a huge role in Dr. Nick’s life. While he enjoys basketball and soccer, he has recently adopted two new hobbies - surfing and golfing. When he’s not on his surfboard or playing a round of golf, you can find him curled up on the couch watching a good movie or TV show.
