Dr. Kim Kelly, DDS, MSOrthodontist

Dr. Kim Kelly knows there's nothing quite like the moment a child stops covering their mouth when they smile. As a mom to two little girls herself, she understands exactly what parents feel when they hand over their child's care to someone else, and she works hard every single day to earn that trust.

Dr. Kelly believes orthodontic treatment should feel less like a series of appointments and more like a partnership with your family. She takes the time to explain every step, celebrate every milestone, and make sure both kids and parents leave each visit feeling confident about the plan ahead.

Academic Career

Her educational journey began at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She went on to UCLA School of Dentistry, graduating cum laude with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and earning honors in 20 dental school courses as a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Honor Society. Dr. Kelly then pursued her specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry, and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society for ranking in the top 10 percent of her postgraduate program.

In addition to achieving academic excellence, giving back has always been part of Dr. Kelly's path. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous community service initiatives. From volunteering with Give Kids a Smile to providing free dental care through Care Harbor, she's long been passionate about making sure every child has access to a healthy smile, regardless of circumstance.

Experience

Throughout her training and clinical experience, Dr. Kelly has developed a deep passion for transforming how people feel about themselves every single day through healthy, beautiful smiles. She built deep experience across the full range of orthodontic care from clear aligner therapy (Invisalign) and braces to more complex interdisciplinary treatment.

She has a special appreciation for treating every patient's unique needs with care and patience, no matter how simple or complex their smile journey may be. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Dr. Kelly is dedicated to staying current with the latest advancements in orthodontic care. She is committed to lifelong learning and professional development, always striving to enhance her knowledge and clinical skills to provide the highest standards of care to her patients.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside the office, Dr. Kelly is an avid traveler and foodie. She loves to be outdoors and immerse herself in nature, often hiking at national parks like Yosemite or spending the day at the beach. On the weekends, she enjoys trying new restaurants with friends and family. Dr. Kelly's favorite title other than “orthodontist” is "mom." When she's not with patients, you'll likely find her at the park, or just soaking up everyday moments with her own two girls — an experience that reminds her daily why she loves what she does.
